Premier league

Leicester City – Liverpool 3: 1

Liverpool FC’s already low hopes of defending their title have fallen further. The “Reds” were beaten 1: 3 by Leicester City. For the first time since November 2014, Liverpool have lost three straight Premier League games. They are ten points behind the leader despite two more games than Manchester City. Leicester, on the other hand, have overtaken Manchester United at least until tomorrow and are in second place.

Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the advantage. Not only was the Egyptian’s blinking wonderful, especially Roberto Firmino’s play deserves the highest rating. But in seven minutes, the “Foxes” turned the game around with hits from James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes. Only when the final result was clear did Jürgen Klopp replace Swiss national player Xherdan Shaqiri in the 87th minute.

Crystal Palace – Burnley 0: 3

It is certainly not a game that can generate great interest outside of the fan field itself. The exception is this wonderful success:

The scorer in a good mood: “The VAR did not check if there was an offside, but if that goal really existed.”

Turin – Genoa 0: 0

No Swiss, no goals, although the two potentially deployed are not known as scorers. Ricardo Rodríguez was sitting on the bench in Torino as was Valon Behrami, whose sporting highlight today was rather that his wife Lara Gut-Behrami won the bronze medal in the Downhill World Cup.

First division

Granada – Atlético Madrid 1: 2

Atlético de Madrid continues to advance towards its eleventh championship title, the first since 2014. Five days after the 2-2 draw at home against Celta de Vigo, the colchoneros returned to victory. Thanks to the success in Granada, he is eight points ahead of his great city rival, Real Madrid, and that with one game less.

The 41-year-old Catholic vicar Philipp Isenegger of St. Katharina parish in Zurich-Affoltern stumbled a lot these days. In a proud pose, he presents himself on YouTube as a disinterested guardian of sexual morality. The title of his Internet sermon: “Masturbation is self-destruction.”
