Tragedy by a Swiss couple in the French community of Lescheroux. A 69-year-old man and his 62-year-old wife were found in their home about 100 kilometers across the border from Switzerland; they had been dead for a long time, he was severely mistreated mentally and physically.

Firefighters found the woman’s body on the floor of an adjoining room. According to French media, she had been dead for several weeks.
The man is still alive, but was in very poor condition when he was found. Neglected and seriously damaged in health. The man was very weak. I thank the postman for looking after the couple, ”Lescheroux mayor Aimé Nicolier told the local newspaper“ La Voix de l’Ain ”. “Thanks to his care, a second victim was probably avoided.”
