- According to the police, a perpetrator was shot dead in the alleged terrorist attack in Vienna. A bystander died and there are at least seven seriously injured.

It has not yet been confirmed if the nearby synagogue was the target of the attack, the spokeswoman said. Initially, the background was unclear. An ORF reporter reported that much of the city center was cordoned off and police were searching for other perpetrators.
Police: stay inside!
The operation is still in progress. Buses and trams no longer stop at stops in the city center. The police asked citizens to avoid public places. “We are on duty with all possible strength.
