The defendant who has not confessed will be sentenced to 17 years in prison, as announced on Thursday by the Aargau prosecutor. The indictment accuses the Swiss of having followed the victim by car from Schlieren ZH to Killwangen on the night of May 5, 2019.
After a verbal argument in front of the 57-year-old man’s house, he stabbed the victim several times with a knife. The man was so seriously injured with stab wounds that he later died in hospital.
Killing qualifies as murder
The prosecution qualifies the homicide as murder. The only thing the defendant wanted to do was eliminate a person he found annoying.
The defendant was arrested in mid-October 2019 after extensive investigations. According to previous information from the Prosecutor’s Office, the accused comes from the victim’s broader family circle.
When the indictment was filed, the prosecutor requested security detention for a preliminary period of six months. According to his own statements, the prosecutor will only comment on the evidence and the mobile issue at the main hearing. The prosecution is pending in the Baden District Court. (SDA / szm)
