The 47-year-old woman, accused of commissioning the murder of her mother, has been acquitted. Miles’s District Court sentenced an acquaintance of the daughter, who has now been exonerated, to 19 years in prison for murder and robbery.

The 47-year-old woman, who allegedly instigated two men to murder her 73-year-old mother, was acquitted. This was announced by the Meilen District Court on Monday morning.

In its September 24 ruling, the court found the daughter not guilty of inciting the murder. She sentenced a 37-year-old man, whose DNA traces had been found at the scene, to 19 years in prison for murder and robbery.

Another defendant, a 31-year-old Swiss-Colombian with dual nationality, who is in South America and did not travel to Switzerland for the trial, is acquitted of the murder and robbery charges.

The prosecutor had demanded a prison term of 18.5 years for the woman and sentences of 19.5 and 15.5 years for the two men.
