Islamic scholar Kylie Moore-Gilbert was arrested in September 2018 after a conference in Iran on charges of espionage for Israel. Now it has apparently been exchanged for three Iranians who are said to have planned an attack on the Israeli ambassador in Thailand.
Iran released Kylie Moore-Gilbert on Wednesday. The Australian-British scientist was arrested in September 2018 on espionage charges. According to Iranian media, the investigator was exchanged for three Iranians who were detained abroad for violating sanctions. One video posted by state television showed Moore-Gilbert in a large gray headscarf and mask, getting on a minibus. There were also three men, one sitting in a wheelchair with his legs amputated above the knee, wearing black caps and Iranian flags draped over his shoulders.
