The dispute between HCD chairman Gaudenz Domenig and controversial investor Peter Buser is entering the next round.
As a reminder: Buser had contractually guaranteed HC Davos a sum of 11.2 million Swiss francs in 2019. In return, the stadium should, among other things, bear the name of the Buser’s Foundation by 2026 and a music pavilion should be built. for concerts in front of the hall. Buser has already transferred a good three million from the deal. In the meantime, you want your money back because HCD did not meet some of the terms of the contract.
As “Watson” now reports, Buser is willing to forego a refund of one of the three million Swiss francs. “In return, I demand a public apology from Gaudenz Domenig,” Buser demands. The 84-year-old apparently resented what Domenig had said about him on television.
The trigger was an SRF report on Buser, in which the banker, book author, poet, concert promoter and patron gave an extremely questionable image of the woman. Domenig later referred to Buser’s statements as “bireweich” and distanced himself from his contractual partner: “We do not share your image of the woman if I use the statements I heard in the SRF report as a pattern.”
Domenig wants nothing to do with Buser’s latest peace offer. “The foundation had fulfilled the contract on December 31, 2020. But so does the HCD,” says the president of the HCD. He insists that his club owes no money to Buser or his foundation. “We expect the foundation to transfer the next contractually agreed delivery on January 1, 2021.” It should be a payment of 1,475 million francs.
