Since Switzerland, like other countries, does not have enough vaccines available at the beginning, a prioritization is established. First, the group of people who are particularly at risk of contracting Covid disease are vaccinated. In first place are all those over 75 years of age and in second place are adults with chronic diseases, who have the highest health risk with Covid disease. In this second group, age does not matter. High-risk diseases include heart failure, therapy-resistant high blood pressure, severe respiratory diseases, severe obesity, diabetes, and immunodeficiency. These people should be informed by their doctors about the vaccination. People aged 65 to 74 are vaccinated in third place, and in fourth place are adults under 65 with other chronic diseases.
