Just less than a week ago, restaurants and bars in Switzerland closed, by order of the federal government. Hotels can still cook for their guests and take out is allowed. Otherwise, however, the following applies: Gastronomic closure!
Information that apparently escaped Swiss influencer Leyla Hajrovic from Zurich. On Sunday she wanted to eat with friends in the fondue gondola of the Park Hotel Vitznau on Lake Lucerne, and was dismissed without further ado.
“That is scandalous”
In his Instagram story, he blurts out his anger at the luxury hotel. “I am speechless and shocked by this service and organization,” Hajrovic tells her 240,000 subscribers, adding one more thing: “That’s outrageous!”
The reason for the influencer’s frustration: She booked the luxury hotel fondue gondola a month and a half ago. And despite the new measures, he never received a rejection. “We even checked it online, and the gondola was said to be open to outside guests,” says Hajrovic.
An hour drive, no food
At the scene, she and her friends were later “treated cheekily” and fired. “Now we’ve been there for more than an hour and we don’t have anything to eat,” he complains. The hotel claimed that they had not been contacted by phone in advance and then emailed them. She never did, says the Zurich woman.
The Park Hotel Vitznau has now corrected the information about the Fondue-Stübli online: The offer is only available to hotel guests, the company writes. When asked by BLICK, a spokesperson said: “The Park Hotel Vitznau has correctly implemented the federal guidelines. An email was sent to Ms Hajrovic in which the meal was canceled. “(Hah / mcy)
