  • The Canton of Zurich Prosecutor III has brought charges against Raiffeisen’s former boss, Pierin Vincenz, and against Aduno’s former boss, Beat Stocker.
  • The former bosses are charged with commercial fraud, embezzlement, document falsification and passive bribery to the detriment of Aduno and Raiffeisen.
  • The accusation is directed against a total of seven people from the professional circles of the main defendants, who are said to have supported them or, in some cases, actively bribed them.

Vincenz and Stocker are said to have played a double game in the acquisitions of the credit card company Aduno and the investment company Investnet and personally cashed in.

According to the indictment, they are said to have demanded and in some cases received advantages in the acquisitions of companies from Commtrain Card Solutions AG, Genève Credit & Leasing SA and EuroKaution AG, although Aduno was not entitled to them. The prosecution is making the same allegations in connection with the acquisition of Investnet AG and the planned acquisition of another company by Raiffeisen.

Therefore, the prosecution accuses them of commercial fraud, falsification of documents and passive bribery. In addition, they are accused of illicit payment of expenses to the detriment of Raiffeisen and Aduno, which gives rise to allegations of embezzlement.

Other accused persons

According to the notification, the accusation is directed against five other people. Criminal orders were issued against two other persons. It is said that the seven people from the professional background of the two main defendants supported them and in some cases actively bribed them.

At Raiffeisen, the Vincenz case had created head turns. Vincenz’s successor, Patrik Gisel, had to hand over his position to Heinz Huber. Previously, the Raiffeisen Assembly of Delegates had already elected a new Chairman of the Board of Directors in Guy Lachappelle, the former director of Basler Kantonalbank, and replaced other members of the Board of Directors of the “Vincenz era”.
