Another bar has to close! But this time the contact list wasn’t faulty, it just didn’t exist. And that’s after an infected person partied at the bar.
Now the “Viva Bar & Lounge” in Baden AG has to close, reports the cantonal department of health and social affairs on Friday.
Last Saturday night, an infected person roamed the nightlife of Baden and visited the club “Löschwasserbecken” and the “Viva Bar”. Two days later, the partygoer tested positive for the corona virus. “The second club was able to deliver the contact list in an exemplary way,” Michel Hassler, a media spokesman for the Aargau health department, tells BLICK. “The Viva Bar did not have a contact list.”
The canton doctor asks for self-quarantine
132 people who were in the “watershed extinction” club must now be quarantined. However, with the “Viva Bar”, contact tracing is difficult. Therefore, the doctor of the canton Yvonne Hummel launches an appeal: all the people who were in the “Viva Bar & Lounge” between 11 pm and 1 am last Saturday must go into quarantine.
All nightclubs are required by law to write down the contact details of their guests. If you don’t, you will face punishment. The canton is currently examining a possible fine against the “Viva Bar & Lounge”, confirms Michel Hassler.
The “Viva Bar & Lounge” will remain closed until the operator can demonstrate that the collection and transfer of contacts has been ensured. Until then means: No more parties!
