As of December 22, the following Oberland municipalities must have a Covid protection concept for the operation of winter sports facilities in their area: Hasliberg, Meiringen, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Kandersteg, Adelboden, Lenk, Zweisimmen Y Saanen. Sufficient testing capacities for people with Covid-19 symptoms should be available at these winter sports centers or in the region in question. The governing council of the canton of Bern announced this on Thursday afternoon.

Therefore, the protection concepts of winter sports destinations should also contain information about the existing capacities for any necessary return transport of holiday guests and the accommodation of Covid 19 patients in the village itself. The canton supports winter sports stations if necessary, to the extent its capabilities allow, it says in the message.
