It has been present on all channels for months, acted as an alert from the beginning and rarely spared criticism of the federal government and the cantons. It is not forgotten how Marcel Salathé accused the BAG that critics were silenced “almost like in North Korea”, although he later referred to the comparison as “ain Let »abtat. Meanwhile, Christian Althaus denounced the “pointless waiting” as a “total political failure of Switzerland” and rebuked the Zurich judicial director, Jacqueline Fehr, as an “amateur epidemiologist”.

But now the never-ending crisis in the crown also appears to be wearing down the country’s most famous epidemiologists. Althaus, who works at the University of Bern, announced on Twitter on Saturday that he had resigned from the federal scientific task force this week.
