On Sunday evening, most of the young people organized an unauthorized street party at the Kleine Allmend in Bern. The Kleine Allmend is located in the city limits of Ostermundigen, south of the Bern Wankdorf motorway exit.. Several hundred people celebrated around a log fire. According to a witness, they heard muffled music, not too loud. The police were on duty with several vans and several dozen police officers. An armored vehicle could also be seen.

The mood was initially very relaxed, reported a reader reporter. People danced peacefully to the music, only a few participants were masked. Some would have disguised themselves, all wore masks on their mouth and nose.

Pires were detonated, barricades were erected in the streets, containers were set ablaze: the police intervened with water cannons and pellets.

The young people had arrived at the Kleine Allmend at 9:45 p.m. Then more and more music cars were added. After 10:15 pm, the entourage slowly moved towards the center of Bern. There were banners with political messages on individual cars.

The mood changed during the move.

The initially peaceful mood tilted as partygoers threw rocks and bottles at police, erected barricades and set them on fire. There was significant material damage to a building, among other things. The police used “after repeated warnings” to prevent the movement, water cannons, pellets and irritants, according to a statement sent Sunday night.
