Videos on Facebook show assaults between three people in front of the Münzhof restaurant in the Rorschach market square. People are pushed, kicked and cursed. A man writes that he wanted to referee and intervened. “However, he also wanted to stab me with the knife,” he says.
Another Facebook user writes in the group “You bisch vo Rorschach if …” that he dated his children. A man screamed. She and her children got scared and went on:
“We thought: shit, now he’s going to attack us.”
One person and the perpetrator were injured
Pascal Häderli, police spokesman for the canton of St. Gallen police, confirms the incident on request. A dispute was reported around 6:20 pm According to Häderli, a knife was also involved. One person was slightly injured and was treated with a cast. The author himself was also injured.
Häderli cannot say how the dispute arose and what the background to the incident was: “The canton police are investigating.”
Anyone who distributes violent videos can be prosecuted
Police spokesman Pascal Häderli said that anyone taking video or photos of such an incident should send the material to the police for evaluation. You should contact the police.
