Police are seeking witnesses after three incidents in Kriens, Emmenbrücke and Schenkon.

(pjm) There was a grazing collision on Münsterstrasse in Schenkon early Sunday morning around 1 a.m. According to the prosecution, the accident occurred when a black car in the Tannberg area got into the opposite lane at the Hintertannberg junction and collided with an approaching vehicle. The unknown driver proceeded towards Beromünster without having taken charge of the damages caused by about 7,000 francs. The police are now looking for the driver of the black car. Lucerne police were informed shortly before 3 am Monday morning by a local resident about the car fire at Eschenring in Emmen. In a press release from the Prosecutor’s Office, it was said that the car had suffered a total loss in the fire. A delivery van next to the vehicle also caught fire and was seriously damaged. The property damage amounts to about 30,000 francs. The cause of the fire is being determined by Lucerne Police fire detectives. Witnesses are asked to report to the police on 041 248 81 17.

The Lucerne prosecutor’s office announced that the waste was, among others, beer cans, glass bottles and pet. The playground had to be cleaned immediately, especially because of the risk of glass breakage for children playing.
