Now his fans, supporters of QAnon and the far-right Proud Boys are turning away from former President Donald Trump (74). They are the groups that met and stormed the United States Capitol on January 6. The Proud Boys swore eternal loyalty to the former president. Now Trump’s loyalty has expired.
According to the New York Times, the right-wing extremist group wrote in a Telegram chat: “Trump will sink as a total failure.” It is the chat in which it is said that one was animated before the Kaptiol storm.
Trump is “extremely weak”
Instead of fighting for Donald Trump, as expected, right-wing extremists are turning away from the former president. In the chat, Trump is said to be “extremely weak.” The Proud Boys have even called on their supporters to completely stop participating in protests by Trump or the Republican Party.
In September of last year, Trump told the Proud Boys: “Hold fast and be prepared.” They did it. Several supporters of the group stormed the Capitol in January. But Trump turned on the Capitol striker after riots in which five people lost their lives. He condemned the attack on American democracy and said that violence is not the solution.
That is why right-wing extremists broke with Trump. At the inauguration of new president Joe Biden (78), the newspaper said on Telegram Chat: “At least the new government is honest about its intentions.”
QAnon’s Followers: “Where’s the fucking storm?”
Supporters of the QAnon conspiracy theory were very present on Capitol Hill and are now disappointed. When Biden was sworn in and Trump left Washington, the conspiracy theorists tapped as well.
“Where’s the fucking storm?” They asked in group chats, according to the Daily Mail. And: “It just doesn’t make sense, we were created.” They refer to the fact that at Biden’s inauguration they expected conditions similar to those of Trump’s speech and the subsequent storm of the Capitol.
But none of that happened on Wednesday. The National Guard protected the event with 25,000 soldiers. Calm was also maintained throughout the country. (euc)
