Early Saturday morning, shortly after 2 am, a 25-year-old car driver from the Zofingen district was driving along the Brugg ring road in the direction of Lupfig. At the same time, a 19-year-old Audi driver was driving in the opposite direction. Immediately before the motorway overpass, the 25-year-old car driver entered the opposite lane and subsequently collided with the 19-year-old Audi driver, as the Aargau canton police wrote in a message.
The 25-year-old Swiss woman and two Audi passengers were slightly injured in the collision and had to be taken to hospital in several ambulances.
The canton police have launched investigations to clarify the exact course of the accident. To clear up the suspicion of driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs or medications, a blood and urine sample was ordered. Both vehicles involved were totaled.
