Almost exactly one year after the spectacular theft of a jewel in the Dresden Green Vault, the police achieve the long-awaited success of the search. In a major raid involving more than 1,600 emergency services from various federal states, three suspects were urgently arrested Tuesday morning in Berlin. They have been in custody since late afternoon. They were the men who sat in or broke into the getaway car in front of the Dresden Museum, the Dresden Public Prosecutor’s Office spokesman said upon request. They were charged with theft and arson in two cases. All three are assigned to the Berlin clan environment.
