Several children were hit by trees during a storm in Austria. A four-year-old girl died on Saturday while walking with her grandmother in Lower Austria when a fir tree capsized in a hurricane blast and fell on her. The 72-year-old woman and her other two grandchildren were beaten by branches.
The hiking trail in Scheibbs district was released again at that time and the strong wind was no longer to be expected, a police spokesman said Sunday.
