Marco Odermatt is allowed to don the red jersey after his 3rd place at Santa Caterina, a long-cherished dream.

He got on the podium and got ahead in the Giant Slalom World Cup – Saturday was more than pleasant for Marco Odermatt. Third place in the Santa Caterina race was already the second best result for the Swiss after second place at the season opener in Sölden.

Premiere on Monday

As the best giant slalom rider today, the man from Nidwalden can don the red jersey, a first for Odermatt. The 23-year-old writes on Instagram: “This is a childhood dream that will come true.”

Odermatt will be able to present his jersey for the first time on Monday at the 2nd giant slalom in Santa Caterina (1st race starting at 9.45am, 2nd race starting at 12:45 pm at SRF Zwei).
