Valtteri Bottas wins qualifying for the Eifel GP and ends a streak of his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

After 6 pole poles in a row, Lewis Hamilton has to give way to his teammate again. Valtteri Bottas caught the British World Cup leader on his last lap and set him 25 hundredths apart. Max Verstappen, third at Red Bull, was less than 3 tenths behind the Northerner.

Alongside the Dutchman in the second row, Charles Leclerc will be in the Ferrari. Once again Monegasse was clearly better than Sebastian Vettel, who had to be content with eleventh on the grid with the other red car.

Live notice

You can follow Sunday’s race at the Nürburgring from 1:45 pm live on SRF zwei and in the SRF Sport app.

Bottas is in the best starting position for the third time this season. Overall it is his 14th pole position in Formula 1.

Giovinazzi with Premiere

Alfa Romeo driver Antonio Giovinazzi reached Q2 for the first time this season and will start the race from 14th place. His teammate Kimi Räikkönen starts at 19th place.

Nico Hülkenberg, who jumped into the Lance Stroll on short notice, failed to make it past the last starting position at Racing Point.
