Almost a month ago, Wendy Holdener broke her fibula head. However, a start at the season opener in Sölden cannot be ruled out.
Wendy Holdener has been ditching her crutches since last Friday. It has been almost 4 weeks since the 27-year-old broke her right fibula head during slalom training in Saas-Fee. The recovery is progressing as planned.
At the moment, he is not in any pain, Holdener reported at the Swiss-Ski press meeting on Wednesday. “At the beginning of the week I made great progress in the weight room. That really motivates me and makes me feel positive, ”says Schwyzerin.
Decision in the week of Sölden
So positive, in fact, that the start of the season in Sölden in mid-October is not ruled out. At the moment, the snow days are still a long way off, but “Sölden is a problem. Just to have a goal and give it my all until then, ”says Holdener.
Whether a Rettenbach Glacier outing is really an option will not be decided until the week before the first race of the Winter World Cup. So Holdener, if all goes according to plan, will go back to skis for the first time.
