On Monday, a 21-year-old man was mugged in the Birsig parking lot, Höhe Theatergässlein. This is announced by the Basel prosecutor’s office. He was not injured in the process.
Previous investigations by the prosecution’s criminal investigation department showed that the 21-year-old, after parking his car at around 6:00 pm, crossed the Birsig parking lot into Theatergässlein. Suddenly, four strangers grabbed him by the arms and threw him to the ground.
Although the victim resisted, the attackers managed to steal the mobile phone. As a result, they fled towards Stänzlergasse. An immediate search by the authorities was unsuccessful, so the message.
We are looking for:
- Unknown, 20-30 years, 170-175 cm tall, dark skin color, slim stature, spoke French, black hair color, wore a denim jacket, protective mask and black headphones
- Unknown, 20-30 years old, 160-170 cm tall, dark skin color, slim stature, spoke French, black hair color, wore a light jacket and protective mask
- Unknown, 20-30 years old, 170-180 cm tall, spoke French, wore dark clothing, protective mask and balaclava
- Unknown, 20-30 years old, brown skin color, medium height, black hair color, wearing dark clothing and protective mask.
Persons who can provide relevant information are asked to contact the criminal investigation department of the prosecutor’s office or the nearest police station.
