Aargau Canton Police conducted a speed check with their laser measuring device on Sunday afternoon, October 11, 2020, on the main road between Seengen and Egliswil. In this extra-urban section, a maximum speed of 80 km / h is applied.

Shortly after 2 pm, the police registered an Audi on the measuring device at 174 km / h. Police stopped the car, which was driven by a 33-year-old Kosovar. Since he faced the so-called “knife crime” with the punishable speed limit of 89 km / h, the police immediately fired the prosecutor, as announced on Monday by Kapo Aargau. This opened a criminal investigation against the 33-year-old and impounded the car. Furthermore, it turned out that the person in question had been deprived of his driver’s license.

Three drivers who had measured 122, 124 and 127 km / h had to hand over their identification on the spot. Following notification, three motorists were allowed to continue driving at 114 and 119 km / h. However, they too are threatened with the driving licenses withdrawn by the Traffic Office.
