In a head-on collision between Wohlen and Bremgarten in the canton of Aargau, five people were injured on Sunday night. A car driver had to be rescued from the crashed vehicle by firefighters and taken to the hospital in a rescue helicopter.

The accident occurred shortly after 00:30 in Bremgarten, as announced by the Aargau canton police. A 20-year-old motorist was heading towards Bremgarten from Wohlen. Police wrote that he likely lost control of his vehicle and collided with an oncoming car.

20 years had to go to the hospital with Rega

The occupants of this oncoming car, a family with two children, were slightly injured and the ambulance took them to hospital. The 20-year-old, on the other hand, was trapped in his vehicle by the force of the impact. Firefighters had to release him. He was then airlifted to the hospital.

It was not initially clear how the accident could have occurred. The responsible prosecutor opened the criminal process and ordered a blood and urine sample. Both vehicles involved in the accident were insured. The person who caused the accident had to surrender the driver’s license on probation. The affected street had to be closed for about five hours to register the accident and the cleaning work.
