On Friday morning, shortly after midnight, the fire department emergency number received a report of a fire on a balcony at Bodenackerstrasse 6d in Sisseln. When the first emergency services arrived, a fire was found on a balcony on the eighth floor of the apartment building. Quick intervention by firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to other parts of the apartment building.
The resident was not at the scene at the time the fire broke out. No person was injured in the fire. However, the building and furnishings suffered material damage amounting to around CHF 10,000.00. The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information on the aforementioned case.
