A private water treatment company caught fire in Granges Veveyse FR on Monday night. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly, as announced by cantonal police in Freiburg in a press release on Tuesday night. The building was completely destroyed by the fire, however, it was said.
During the operation, the entire Pra-Charbon industrial area was closed to traffic for approximately four hours, according to the statement. An investigation was also launched to determine the cause of the fire, authorities said.
As a preventive measure, an outpatient clinic was also on-site, but no one was injured, the cantonal police in Freiburg wrote. The fire brigade had established a fire station to monitor another outbreak of the fire. (SDA)
