Now the crisis of the crown is also reaching the best restaurants in cities. After more than 20 years, Freddy Burger Management Group will temporarily cease operating the restaurant Der Sonnenberg in Zurich in its previous form. It will be closed in mid-December indefinitely.
This has consequences: all employees have been notified. It is said that in mid-2021, circumstances permitting, a reopening in a changed constellation and with a new concept will be addressed. Details on this will be announced at a later date.
Strict restrictions as a reason
With no events, festive occasions and due to the renewed massive drop in guest numbers due to strict restrictions during the second Corona wave, it is no longer possible to sustain operations economically.
Freddy Burger, owner of Freddy Burger Management Group, says: “We are very sorry to have to take this step. Since the end of the corona pandemic is currently not in sight, we sadly see no alternative. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my long-term employees for their tireless efforts, especially in the last difficult months. “Nice words. But little consolation to all who are now on the streets. (Pbe)
