As expected, Pajtim Kasami continues his career at FC Basel. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder will sign a contract with the FCB until the summer of 2022.
FCB President Bernhard Burgener is satisfied with the new signing: “Pajtim Kasami is the ideal complement to our midfield and our offense. We are very convinced that he will enrich the team with his personality and style of play ”.
In 2009, the Zurich man was a member of the Swiss youth team that became the under-17 world champion. In the senior team he has played twelve games so far, the last four and a half years. Following his professional debut with Bellinzona, Kasami played in Palermo, Fulham, Lucerne, Olympiacos, with whom he was twice champion of Greece, Nottingham Forest and for the last three seasons with FC Sion. He didn’t want to sign a new contract that summer.
