In Meersburg, on Lake Constance, near the Swiss border, three people were killed Friday morning in a collision between a car and a truck. Two other people were seriously injured in the accident, German police announced.
According to “Blick Online”, the victims are a family from Schaffhausen from Kosovo. The 35-year-old driver’s car skidded onto Bundesstrasse 31, collided with oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an oncoming truck.
According to the police, a 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man who were in the back seat of the car died of their injuries at the scene of the accident. The 18-year-old passenger died shortly thereafter in hospital. The driver and an eleven-year-old girl in the back seat suffered serious injuries. The truck driver was slightly injured.
According to the web portal “Albinfo”, which is operated by a correspondent for the Albanian newspaper “Le Canton 27.ch” in Switzerland, the family was returning from their vacation in Kosovo. The family comes from the village of Rahovica in Ferizaj. Among the three deceased there was a person with a Swiss passport. Swiss police came to the aid of German colleagues in a helicopter to rescue the victims.
