Several residents reported a strong explosion to the Basel-Landschaft Police Operations Control Center on Sunday night in an apartment building on Bahnhofstrasse in Muttenz BL.
At the site, patrols discovered that an explosion had occurred in an apartment. Among other things, the entire front of the window was pushed out and the panel was completely destroyed. Property damage amounts to several thousand francs.
The resident in the apartment was not injured in the blast. The cause of the explosion has not yet been finally clarified. In the foreground, however, is the careless handling of a can of hairspray. (szm)
