An employee of the Austrian Federal Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz (34), tested positive for the corona virus. The head of government and Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler last contacted the employee on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry announced Monday. The affected employee tested negative Tuesday night.
Until their own test results were available, Kurz and Kogler had canceled all appointments. The result is expected Monday night.
Ruled briefly from home
Additionally, Kurz has entered quarantine and is initially ruling from home, “Oe24” reports. According to the governor of Salzburg, Wilfried Haslauer, Kurz had no symptoms. “I spoke to him on the phone. It feels great, ”Haslauer tells the news portal.
