Crown skeptics are targeting the Swiss state government: in groups of telegrams, they mobilize to bring criminal charges against Alain Berset, as reported by 20min.ch. For this, they provide a specially created letter template. Specifically, the Crown rebels accuse Berset of “coercion” and “frightening the population.” According to the Penal Code, the latter is guilty of “anyone who frightens the population by threatening or pretending to be a danger to life, limbs or property”.

A thorn in the complainant’s side is especially the mask requirement. In the sample letter, for example, it is stated that protective masks would make you sick. And the Federal Council is also accused of “traumatizing” the population “through the constant repetition of state propaganda.” (Also read our article: “One day it will disappear again”).

“Ads are being processed”

The sample report is addressed to the Prosecutor General of the Canton of Zurich. There have been “in recent days in relation to the order of the requirement of the crown mask five criminal complaints against Federal Councilor Alain Berset and / or Federal Councilor Simonetta Sommaruga,” explains spokesman Erich Wenzinger. “Ads are being processed.” Wenzinger does not want to provide any information about the public prosecutor’s office’s further course of action.

For Daniel Jositsch, professor of criminal law in Zurich and member of the Council of States of the SP, one thing is clear: “The chances of success of these ads are nil. The Public Ministry will do so with a non-intervention order. “So, in the first place, there will be no criminal investigation. The reason:” It is clear that no criminal act has been committed, “Jositsch explains to 20min.ch.
