Drunk accident at Möhlin AG – 81 years old was drunk

In the afternoon traffic, a motorist caused an accident for reasons still unknown. One person was moderately injured. The driver had to surrender his driver’s license.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, shortly after 2:30 p.m., in Möhlin. An 81-year-old motorist was driving his car on Möhlin in Bachstrasse.

When he wanted to turn left onto the main road, he lost control of his vehicle for reasons that are still unknown, skidded down the lane, on the sidewalk, collided with a chandelier and a retaining wall. Finally he stopped with his vehicle in a green area.

His 78-year-old passenger was trapped and moderately injured. This had to be removed from the car by firefighters and then taken to the hospital by ambulance. The driver herself was slightly injured.

There was significant property damage in yesterday’s accident. During the investigation, it turned out that the driver was driving her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The responsible prosecutor’s office in RheinfeldenLaufenburg opened a criminal investigation and ordered a blood and urine sample. The driver had to surrender the driver’s license to the refusal authority.
