No more confinements! Denmark has drawn up a long-term plan to move away from the current crown measures.
With some exceptions, the restrictions on public life will be completely lifted as soon as all risk groups and all people over 50 who wish they had received their first vaccination against Covid-19.
Restrictions for important events
Almost all restrictions will be lifted in June. As can be seen from the framework agreement published late Monday night, hairdressers and comparable service providers can reopen nationwide from April 6, that is, after Easter.
There will also be more relaxation in schools: after students have been back in the classroom for a long time until fourth grade, half of grades five through eight can now alternately return to face-to-face classes for a period of time. week.
The opening of small shopping centers continues on April 13. A week later, other shops, museums, libraries and outdoor restaurant areas will also open. In May, restrictions for the interior of restaurants, sports halls, zoo interiors and amusement parks will fall.
However, for certain areas, restrictions are likely to remain, for example for major events and nightlife.
Privileges only with a Corona pass
A corona pass with vaccination and testing data will play a central role in many initial steps: Therefore, the privileges are not only available to those who have been vaccinated, but also to people who have already been infected or who have a negative result.
This pass should allow entry to the restaurant, theater or indoor pool and also allow a visit to the hairdresser.
Stores up to a certain size are already open. Up to ten people can meet outdoors, and up to 50 participants are allowed for organized sports and outdoor club activities.
After a peak in infections in mid-December, these have now decreased significantly in Denmark. The number of Covid-19 related deaths among Danes is lower than almost anywhere else in Europe. The previous easing of the krona measures has not caused the Danish figures to skyrocket again so far.
Praise and criticism of plans.
Right-wing populist Nye Borgerlige was the only party that was not part of the new deal. Its president, Pernille Vermund (45), said that the plans were “absolutely crazy”, writes “CPH Post”. The crown step is absolutely unnecessary in your eyes.
She is referring to last spring’s openings. These were possible “without having as many tested as today, without having a vaccination plan, without a crown passport.” But now the government “would introduce another means by which it can exercise its power.”
The harshest critic of the government, the head of Venstre, Jakob Ellemann-Jensen (47), was satisfied: “We would have liked to see a quicker reopening. But it’s important that we now have some perspective on what to expect. “(Man / SDA)
