The variant of the coronavirus that appeared in Britain has also been detected in Switzerland for the first time. The mutation in question was discovered in two samples from people who tested positive, as the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) announced on Thursday.
These affected individuals reside in the UK and have tested positive for the coronavirus in Switzerland. The samples were sequenced at the National Reference Center for Emerging Viral Diseases in Geneva.
