Is it a coincidence that the message is published today, of every day, when the whole world is looking at the United States? There is no better day to publish bad news than today.
Georg Wohlwend will step down as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) with immediate effect. The reason is an ongoing criminal case against him. However, it is not related to his work at the LLB Group, the institute announced. The Vice President Gabriela Nagel-Jungo assumes her functions as of today.
Much remains in the dark
Wohlwend, who has been Chairman of the LLB Board of Directors since 2017, resolutely rejects the allegations made against him. In order to avoid any burden on the LLB, he announced his resignation from the Board of Directors.
The board of directors took note of Wohlwend’s decision with “great regret” and thanks him for his commitment to the company, he said. No further information is given on the criminal process. (pbe / SDA)
