The Swiss Society for Nutrition recommends taking a higher dose of vitamin D as a precaution against Covid disease. What speaks for and against.
Scientists from the Universities of Lausanne, Zurich and ETH Zurich, together with the Swiss Society for Nutrition (SGE), have produced a position paper on the corona pandemic that makes one sit up and take note: the expert panel recommends ” emphatically ‘a dietary supplement’ with vitamin D, vitamin C and omega-3 fatty acids, as well as selenium and zinc for the population that does not follow the Swiss dietary recommendations, especially for those aged 65 years and over.
