Wouldn’t it be better to send the kids on a candy tour this year? “Espresso” says what applies.
Halloween is just around the corner, usually a lot of fun for the kids. This year, however, the ghost day will be accompanied by a special ghost: the crown crisis. Due to the current situation, many parents wonder if they should still send their creepy little characters door to door.
As long as the children follow the rules, they can do the rounds.
At the request of the consumer magazine “Espresso”, the Federal Office of Public Health wrote: “As long as the children remain in small groups, keep their distance (according to age), respect the rules of hygiene and distance, as well as the national regulations and cantonal, they can make the rounds ”. Specifically, this means: Children should stand in front of the door, adults should wear a mask, and it is best not to use large candy buckets where everyone can help themselves.
You need to do without this time and postpone the children until 2021.
The Federal Office for Food Safety (FSVO) sees it differently. In the current situation, the Halloween tour is not a good idea. “You should skip this time and put the children off until 2021,” writes the FSVO news outlet. If you do not want to do without it, you must absolutely adhere to the rules of hygiene and distance.
Some municipalities and cantons go further. The Canton of Bern Health Department urgently advises against Halloween street gatherings and door-to-door tours. The spread of the coronavirus can only be contained if the entire population helps reduce the chances of infection, according to a statement.
