Our neighboring country is heading towards the third corona wave: corona infection in 24 hours increases to 38,500. On Tuesday, 29,975 cases of infection were counted in France. The number of deaths increased by 246 to 91,427. The number of patients with a crown in intensive care units dropped slightly to 4,219.
In view of the overload of many French hospitals, Prime Minister Jean Castex (55) wants to comment on further tightening of the crown’s requirements in Paris on Thursday. According to the government, additional measures are planned in the Paris metropolitan area and in the northern Hauts-de-France region, which borders Belgium.
Exit restrictions and curfew
Among other things, weekend departure restrictions are being discussed, such as those that already exist on the Côte d’Azur and in parts of northern France. At the national level there is also a night curfew starting at 6 pm
In the capital Ile de France region, with around 12 million inhabitants, the incidence of corona had recently risen above the 400 new infections per 100,000 mark, almost double the national average. (SDA / euc)
