How long until the vaccination appointment? Currently, people aged 75 and over and high-risk patients are vaccinated in Switzerland. The federal government’s goal is to give everyone who is willing to vaccinate a shovel by the end of July.
The new Omni calculator has now created a free calculation tool that predicts your vaccination date. “Our vaccination date calculator was created based on the federal corona vaccination strategy,” says Bogna Szyk (27), manager of Omni Calculator. Consequently, age, previous illnesses, contact with people at risk and others are included. The vaccination calculator is available in German and French.

So you enter all your personal information, then the computer will issue a vaccination period. There are two vaccination rates: the actual vaccination rate and the Federal Council plan. “We also relied on a 67 percent vaccination readiness,” Szyk tells VIEW. Szyk studied at the Technical University of Vienna and developed the vaccination calculator together with two colleagues.
Self-experiment shows: According to the Federal Council calendar, a young person with no previous illnesses or a contact job can expect an appointment between May 6 and June 24. If it is the actual vaccination rate, this may take until the period from September 27 to April 10, 2021.

The vaccination calculator is not only available in Switzerland. The calculator was first put online in the UK and caused quite a stir. Omni Claculator now calculates the vaccination date in more than 30 countries. (lui)
