Corona’s latest figures give reason for slight hope: On Tuesday, the Federal Office of Public Health reported 5,980 new infections, as well as 243 hospital admissions and 107 deaths.
The number of new infections is lower than in recent days. SP federal adviser Alain Berset (48) described Monday’s development as “a bit encouraging.” However, it is premature to identify a trend. So Berset has yet to give the go-ahead.
The situation remains tense, especially in hospitals. There is also the fact that the authorities do not have an overview of free beds in intensive care units. After all, there are still enough beds in Zurich, the canton made clear at a press conference today. The problem is not the number of beds, but the staff available.
