A small change in the commercial register makes this possible: the Graubünden businesswoman Adriana Pianegonda has reopened her store in Chur. It sells fabric and other artisan materials to the local population because it is now officially considered a textile hardware store. As the first textile hardware store in Switzerland.
“Südostschweiz” reports on the case today. Pianegonda describes the government trick on the company’s website and on Facebook. “According to the Federal Council decision of April 16, hardware stores can start operating again,” he says. This prompted them to adjust the business registry entry.
Pianegonda’s small fabric store has been “an official and certified textile hardware store with a DIY store” since yesterday. “We passed the control of the local police and our concept of security and scope structure were accepted by the legal department,” says the businessman.
“Take your knitwear with you”
There is applause for that. Clients praised the creativity of the businesswoman, who actually always wanted to become a craft teacher. However, an accident at the age of 14 caused the left hand to stiffen. Knitting was only possible with a lot of pain. Sewing was tedious. Instead, he began an apprenticeship as a biology laboratory assistant at the Cantonal Chur Hospital.
The situation improved over the years and two operations. Pianegonda matured into a businesswoman. He opened his store in 1999, soon hired the first employee and has chaired the association “Wool Switzerland” since 2012.
So now he runs the first fully-fledged textile hardware store in the country. Pianegonda begins the reopening with shorter opening times. Indicates that only five people are allowed in the store. “There are seats available to wait in front of the store,” he writes. “Take your tissue with you and close the waiting time.” (ise)
