On Friday, the cantonal health department recorded a backlog of corona cases in Upper Engadine schools. As indicated in a message, the Grevas primary school in St. Moritz, the Academia Engiadina primary school in Samedan and the Oberengadin commercial vocational school in Samedan are affected.
Currently, three teachers from the Grevas primary school are in isolation and one teacher and the second grade are in quarantine. At the Engiadina Academy, the entire first class of the primary school has been quarantined and at the Upper Engadine vocational school there are seven close contact persons under quarantine. By order of the health department, all classes at the Engiadina Academy and the Upper Engadine vocational school will be taught remotely until the start of the holidays, as stated.
Work started
According to the government, contact trackers from the cantonal Covid department have started working to stop chains of infection. Possible contact persons were identified and quarantined. Additionally, contact tracing resources increased due to the sudden backlog of cases.
The health department recommends avoiding contact with other people and performing a corona test if you have typical symptoms. The office also temporarily discourages gatherings of more than ten people, snacks and the like in the Upper Engadine. (in)
