Another pharmaceutical company is on the way to obtain the vaccine. Moderna’s vaccine is nearly 95 percent effective. Biontech and Pfizer are already applying for emergency approval in the US, and now AstraZeneca is also reporting good results.
AstraZeneca is not done with the third test phase yet. But the interim results have been positive so far. According to the press release, the vaccine is effective and has not led to any hospitalizations or serious incidents.
70 percent cash

Astra Zeneca is preparing to receive approvals from health authorities around the world. The first interim results of the vaccine come from the UK. AstraZeneca is developing the vaccine in conjunction with the University of Oxford. The clinical trial is also ongoing in the US, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Kenya, and Latin America. Up to 60,000 test people will participate worldwide. AstraZeneca also requested approval from Swissmedic in Switzerland.
The EU has already obtained 300 million doses of vaccines. Switzerland will receive 5.3 million doses of vaccine from it.
