At the speed controls at Oberlunkhofen AG and on the A1 in Spreitenbach, three motorists were driving so fast that the cantonal police instantly took away their driver’s license. Two of them were 18-year-old new drivers.

The first high-speed driver went to the Aargau canton police on Saturday afternoon on Zürcherstrasse between Oberlunkhofen and Arni, where the police used a laser measuring device, as announced on Sunday. At 126 km / h instead of the 80 km / h allowed, the fastest on the road was a 49-year-old Swiss on the route out of town. The canton police stopped and informed the motorists, they took away his driver’s license on the spot.

Out and about in a rented BMW

Between midnight and early morning, the cantonal police conducted a speed check with a radar device on the A1 near Spreitenbach. At 3.15 am, the measuring device recorded a BMW driving towards Bern at 197 km / h instead of the allowed 120 km / h. An 18-year-old Swiss was sitting behind the wheel of a rented sports car. After reporting on the spot, the cantonal police took the driver’s license on the spot. According to the police, he had passed his driving test only three months ago.

A little later, the radar device measured a Mercedes-Benz at 170 km / h. A patrol also intercepted this speedy driver on the highway. The car was driven by an 18-year-old Macedonian. The cantonal police brought his driver’s license, which he had only had ten days ago, to the attention of the Traffic Directorate.
