Canton Zurich police checked an international car in Winterthur on Friday evening (October 9, 2020), arrested a passenger, found crimes and various violations of applicable requirements.
On Friday night, cantonal police officers and members of the Federal Customs Administration subjected a passenger car traveling to work on international lines to a thorough inspection. It turned out that the Serbian businessman only partially met the requirements for the line permit. The driver was unable to provide a complete passenger list. In addition, pieces of luggage were found that could not be assigned to any passenger. This is equivalent to transporting goods and also violates the line permit.
The driver’s working time and rest regulations were only met to a limited extent and had to be sanctioned accordingly.
When searching the passengers, a person was found who had violated the Aliens and Integration Law. The 37-year-old Serbian was arrested and taken to the prosecution. When searching the luggage, the police also found a stolen bicycle.
