Contact tracing in the canton of Schwyz was secured again

Contact tracing was only temporarily possible to a limited extent in the canton of Schwyz due to the increasing number of corona infections. Now the canton has given the go-ahead: since last week, contact trackers have been contacting people infected with corona, as well as all the people personally who were in close contact with these so-called index people and therefore have to be in quarantine.

“Contact tracing can be fully and quickly re-secured,” the Department of the Interior writes in a message. To make this possible, the Office of Health and Social Affairs (AGS) has currently created 21 full-time positions in the contact tracing process and at Corona Infoline in addition to the normal staff budget. Also, up to nine people are available for contact tracing in the Lung League, as it’s called.
