  • The normal time applies again. In Switzerland, this has been the time of Central Europe for about 125 years.
  • Daylight saving time ended at 3 a.m. on October 25. The clocks were turned back to two o’clock.
  • Daylight saving time has existed in Switzerland since 1981.

Since 1996, people in all the countries of the European Union have also set their clocks forward one hour on the last Sunday in March and back one hour on the last Sunday in October. With the introduction of standard time, nights will be one hour longer and therefore it will get dark earlier in the evening.

In March 2019, the EU Parliament called for the abolition of the time change in 2021. However, not all the necessary decisions have been taken.
